  30. Yes, you can improve the Baud Rate!! Take your modem and $130 (us) to your
  31. nearest computer store and ask to have the high speed muffler bearing
  32. upgraded.

  34. When they get done your upgraded modem most likley will not look
  35. like it use to, it might even come in a bright new and shiney box. It is even
  36. probibly will ahve a new name on the face plate.

  38. For $130 you should get it upgraded to a 14400.

  40. I guess you could get it upgraded but the cost would be prohibitive. Best to
  41. spend a $130 and buy a new one
